Program Description

Students in the photojournalism minor develop the skill of using photography to tell a journalistic story. In addition, students gain artistic and technical skills, such as photo composition, focus, lighting techniques, and photo editing, as well as journalistic skills relating to subjects, reporters, and editors. The photojournalism minor gives aspiring media photographers the education, experience, and opportunity needed to competitively enter the journalism field post-graduation.
