A bachelor's degree in the Department of Biological Sciences from California Baptist University is a great start toward many exciting career opportunities, especially those related to healthcare, solving environmental challenges, working with animals, teaching, research, sustainable development, biotech and more. Students will be prepared to join the growing number of people and organizations around the globe who are focused on helping others meet their basic human needs, including healthcare and developing sustainable communities.
The Biomedical Sciences major is tailored for students seeking careers in various biomedical professions, including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy, podiatry, optometry, veterinary and others.
The Biology Major is for students who want to go to medical or other professional schools, who want teach, or who just have a general interest in biology.
The Biotechnology program is a research/technology focused major designed for undergraduates to accumulate the research skills required to compete in an industrial biotech career or the transition to a research based graduate program.
The Environmental Science major is focused on learning about and solving environmental challenges.
An Integrated Science major is designed for students whose interests and abilities cross over between the traditional science and mathematics disciplines.
We are very proud of the success our graduates are having. Our faculty are personally invested in the students, and opportunities for students to be involved in research and student organizations are plentiful. These interactions will help in choosing a career goal that fits their strengths, helps realize their goals, and allows them to live their purpose.
